Villa Omaar will be a low-threshold therapeutic house in the heart of Wetteren for young people aged between 16 and 23 who are struggling psychologically. It wants to be a place where intensive ambulatory therapeutic work can be done without a waiting list, for a maximum of two weeks. This preventive approach aims to avoid residential and psychiatric help as much as possible. It is easily accessible, while still offering highly specialised help. As a basis, Villa Omaar starts from cordiality and a warm welcome for the youngsters, in a homely atmosphere. Being a supporter of the young person is the heart of the matter. One assumes the strength in every person, no matter how weak or disturbed they feel at the time.
This project is currently being launched by Nathalie Braeckman and Marieke Degryse. Stanwick supports this wonderful initiative. Obviously, the exchange between social profit and business is enriching for both parties.
