Agidens takes it to the next level thanks to Green Belt and Train the Trainer
ElectronicsAt Agidens, the Green Belt training of a single employee led to the organisation-wide embedding of Continuous Improvement and a structured approach to change within the company. Thanks to subsequent Train the Trainer support from one of our Stanwick consultants, Agidens was able to set up internal training courses for its own staff.
Paolo Capanna - Quality & Lean Six Sigma Manager, on the 9-day training:
"The Green Belt training course I took with Tim & Katia from Stanwick was a real eye-opener for me. What I had previously seen at Agidens mainly as ‘continuous improvement’ suddenly took on a clear, structured project approach. The training itself was a perfect blend of a human touch and rigorous analysis. The statistical elements were explained in a very accessible way, which means I now apply them daily in my role as Quality & Lean Six Sigma Manager.
Many companies tend to fall into the trap of making ‘waste’ faster, more modern and more attractive — with fancy tools and clever apps — instead of actually solving problems. Lean Six Sigma gave me, for the first time, a structured way to break that pattern, which not only gave my professional career a completely new direction but also changed my personal mindset.
The training made me realise how often we jump from a problem to a solution without data, without root cause analysis – meaning we are, in fact, only tackling symptoms. That insight alone has completely changed my way of thinking. Everyone in every organisation should be imbued with this basic principle, at all levels of the organisation – regardless of the urgency of the solution. Quality over speed.
Thanks to the foundation I gained at Stanwick, we have now created a solid foundation for 600 colleagues (so far, 30% of our staff have been trained) to get started with Lean Six Sigma at an accessible level. Over the last 18 months, six projects have been launched – large and small – all yielding valuable lessons that we now use internally as case studies.
In summary, I can say that Stanwick has given my professional career a completely new direction and, in doing so, has also changed my personal mindset. Tim’s coaching during my certification was a decisive factor in this. Afterwards, I even developed a White Belt training course for Agidens – including a game of my own (‘Tomorrow Lean Festival’) that colleagues find extremely useful. Tim even complimented me on my approach, and that made me genuinely proud.”
